We would like to welcome you all at the SynergyS22@Barcelona of the HIS 2008 Industrial Track, organized by both 22@ and KIMbcn (Knowledge Innovation Market Barcelona).

The aim of the SynergyS22@Barcelona is to promote the collaboration between the research community and the industry at european and international level, by providing an open platform for debate and communication.

Barcelona attracts anually an important number of scientific conferences, which offer the city and its entreprise weave the opportunity to get exposed to new challenges and establish profitable business relationships.

22@Barcelona, with the help of KIMbcn, organizes this year the first SynergyS22@Barcelona, in order to extract the maximum value of the scientific congresses, which take place in Barcelona and connect them with the Barcelona’s economical activity.

SynergyS22@Barcelona joins the research community with the industry, transforms personal relations into business opportunities and provides the participant companies with the opportunity of a free access to the new emergent technologies and research that could increase their competitiveness.

Barcelona hosts during the 10th, 11th and 12th of September, the international conference on Hybrid Intelligent Systems, led by the Polytechnical University of Catalonia. This event offers the opportunity to welcome more than 150 international researchers, experts on this research field.

We have created this interesting opportunity in order to perform the first SynergyS22@Barcelona, between these researchers and the companies related to the fields of Hybrid Intelligent Systems applications.

On the afternoon of the 10th of September 2008, the first SynergyS22@Barcelona will take place at the "Torre Mapfre".

Companies related to Hybrid Intelligent Systems sector will expose their needs, challenges and trends and more than 150 researchers, experts on this promising research field, will attend as well.

The workshop is aimed to have an informal character in order to have an open and fluent information exchange between the participants.
